The Maine Horse Association encourages excellence in its youth members by providing a yearly scholarship to an outstanding young man or woman who will be, or is currently, enrolled in a post secondary educational program. The applicant must be a member in good standing of MHA for the most recent two years including the application year.

This $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a member either currently attending, or a high school senior applying to college, technical or trade school, or an apprenticeship. NOTE: It does not have to be an equine-related career. The scholarship will be paid directly to the applicant after receiving a copy of your transcript from the school, college or program where you are currently enrolled after your semester of attendance.

Scholarship must be paid to student within two years after it is awarded.
